Default Tempted to try R888 265 up front

Has anyone tried running the R888 in a 265/35 up front on stock wheels/offsets? Did you have to change the setup much to get them to fit (I run -3.0 degrees with shims)? Also, is the 305 or 315 the better choice for rear in the R888?

TIA,

-td

265 is wider than recommended for that wheel, but it might work, don't know about clearance issues. With -3.0 front camber, it doesn't seem that you should be having understeer problems to any great degree, and I would be a bit concerned with introducing earlier off-throttle oversteer. But it might work fine, sorry, I'm not really helping you.

R888 also has 255/35 available too. Recommended rim width for 255 is 8.5-10 (stock rim width is 8.5"). Why not try this first?

And I think most ppl run 315/30 in the rear. And def think this would be better match esp if you are thinking of running 265 in front.

Agreed... BTW, these tires run BIG, so on stock wheels moving up in size, a 265 will be like a 275 almost 285, way too much sidewall and flex IMO!

I'll second the 255 being the better choice. I ran 255 r888's on 8.5" wheels on my C2 and they worked well but even looked a bit big in 255 on that wheel. Anything bigger on that wheel and I'd think your carrying extra weight around and making front feel sloppy with very little benefit.

FWIW I think Rad ran 275 RA-1's on stock wheels for auto-x but said they were not good for track events in that sizing
