Brake Pad Question
I have PCCB brakes and switched to iron rotors. The PCCB's dusted far less than the Pagid yellows that I am currently running. Right now I feel like I pull out of my drive and I need to spend an hr cleaning the wheels (I clean my street wheels inside and out).
I have raced for years and well know that high levels of dust generally equals stopping power. However, for those days when the GT3 is not being tracked, can anyone suggest some LOW dust pads?
Thanks.

I'm in this search also. On other cars, I have had good luck with the Carbotech Bobcat compound for street use. No noise and virtually no dust. I do not know if they are compatible with the Pagid residue transfer on the rotor. If so, it is a good street pad, not suitable for track use.

A few seasons ago, I was using Carbotec pads on my BMW Spec E30. Good pads at a fair price. If you buy the Bobcat's I would love to hear what you think about their dusting, etc.
I would never track those pads in the GT3, but thats what the Pagids are for....

My solution is to run black wheels. The dirtier they get, the better they look, gives them a nice matte finish I hated cleaning wheels after track days, now I just spray some of that pH balanced aluminum wheel cleaner stuff on, let it sit for a while, use the wheel brush and off I go.

I ordered a set today, hope to have them on this weekend, and will post results. You're right, these are strictly street pads.

Tom:
I got front ATE Slotted rotors from Tire Rack part #CW34123 (left) and CW34124 (right). If I am recalling correctly, they are built for a Cayenne S. Great deal at $130.00 each. Wear them out and throw them away. I have driven them hard at three track days and I have been very happy.
For the rears I ordered 997 GT3 cup rotors from TRG part #'s 997 352 405 91 and 406. TRG charged me $316.00 after my discount.

I put the Bobcat pads on tonight, and I can offer an early report. The pads are quiet, no squeal at all so far. The pedal feel is very solid, and the braking action linear. Obviously, the torque is not equal to a good track pad, but it will get a bit better after I finish the bedding process. Looks like I now have maybe 80% contact, but I was not able to do much bedding tonight. Since these will not take the heat of a track pad, the bedding has to be much less aggressive, and I expect it will take a few more sessions to get them perfect. Dust was not my main concern, but I know from previous experience that these will dust much less than the OE Pagids. At this point, I would say this is a good option for street use, and I expect it would be fine for short AX sessions too.
