Finally a proper introduction to the GT3 fold..
I've been posting on the 6 GT3 Forum's for a couple months now as I was shopping a replacement for my 996 Koni Car. And since getting my New To Me 6GT3 I haven't had the chance to properly introduce myself....
Most regulars may know/recognize my Lapis Blue GT3 with the sinister yellow lights from the previous owner, PJ, a regular R-Lister. In my search for a GT3 I scoured the internet and R-List in search of a DE Ready GT3 as I missed the streetable aspect that you don't have in a full Race Car. PJ had Posted some pictures of his Blue Beast on a thread about wheels... In the pictures I noticed Center Exhaust, RS Wing, Monster Brakes, and a couple other goodies that caught my eye. With a recent injection into my bank account from the Koni sale I PM'd PJ asking him about his car, mainly the "different" upgrades, etc. At the end I said "Is it for sale?"
Well, it wasn't, but like most diseased car nuts, they always are... We came to an agreement and then PJ's account was full, and mine was empty.
The transaction and everything about dealing with PJ was Great!! I’ve bought and sold all kinds of items from Rennlisters including my 993 & this GT3. For the most part they have always been positive, and this transaction sets the bar rather high...
Now some quick specs on her.
04’ GT3 one of 5 Lapis Blue
Cup Car (Rear) Bumper
RS Wing matching CF Mirror housings
ASP Headers and Custom Exhaust w/ burns mufflers
Recaro XL Seats covered in leather w/ matching Blue Stiching
Custom Half Cage
TRG Control arms, drop links, eccentric adjuster, & monoballs w/ KWV3 Coilovers.
Brembo 2 piece floating Rotors SS brake lines. (larger diam rears)
Spare CCW’s for the track
Much more to list.....
Driving impressions:
I’ve instructed several people in GT3’s and knew it would be my next purchase. This was the first 3 I’ve driven.. I was very, very impressed. I’m preaching to the chior here so I don’t feel I need to elaborate.
The sound of this beast is absolutely incredible!!
Rides great on the street... = Too soft for the track. The spring ratio will be doubled to fit my driving style and preference. I was bottoming out the front wheels in the wheel well at Road Atlanta.
Changes I’ve made since ownership:
Really nothing needed to be done as it was done right by PJ. As mentioned I will bump up the spring rates.
I had the stock wheels ceramic painted black & center console ceramic painted Lapis Blue.
Pics are from this weekend at a local Georgia Tech car show. Placed 3rd in it’s class “Modified RWD & AWD”
Lovin it!!

Enjoy the car, Dave! I bought a part off PJ last fall and the transaction went great. I'd buy stuff from him again without question.
The GT3 community is a great one, that's for sure.
Cheers,

For some reason the pics on your car tire to fender clearance looks higher then mine(maybe the angle- I'll take a pic of mine at same angle and post it here). Mooty when he was at sp 2 weeks ago he noted mine looked lower but I have no clue whether service tech lowered the car- only know it was corner balanced and aligned for the track- service tech mentioned let me align it for u- u will like how it drives at the track and keep tire pressures at 31 hot- I never deviated from tire pressures. The service tech was a guru(named danny with a british accent- he use to be part of the crew with the porsche supercup series in europe- too bad he aint there nemore) with my set up. He was really took great care of my car. I remember I spun 720 at ls at turn 4 and an intake hose from the manifold popped off. Nevertheless tried best I can to seal popped hose to limp back home- took it to him next day he said he need to drop the engine to make sure the other hose's on the intake manifold havent popped off too- no charge for the drop and check. Got my car back in 2 days. Great guy. Got him a case of fine wine. Mike

I'm wondering if there is a built sheet for all the goodies that PJ installed... I am having no luck in getting part numbers of those rotors+hats.

PJ,
I am not sure if I will end up buying these rotor-assemblies from other place than Speedware. That is the reason I am not too comfortable asking them...
Here are the part numbers I got from Brembo website (Brembo Type III):
996 Cup
Fronts (L/R Assembly): XA4.F2.11/12 350mmX34mm (72 Vanes)
Rears (L/R Assembly): XA4.F2.21/22 330mmX28mm (48 Vanes)
997 Cup
Fronts (L/R Assembly): XA5.R7.11/12 380mmx34mm (72 Vanes)
Rears (L/R Assembly): XA5.R7.21/22 350mmx28mm (72 Vanes)
Now; the question is whether you are running
(a) 350/330,
(b) 350/350
(c) 380/350
I have no clue about the part numbers for those spacer (for radially space out the caliper) for larger than setup (a) nor whether these will maintain the parking brake.
Thank you for your help PJ and Dave...

Thank you!!!
PJ, you are too kind. Thank you so much. Those part numbers are for front assembly pairs and that for the rear. Once again; thank you.
