New 996 GT3 Owner - Let me introduce myself
Hello:
I work in public accounting at a CPA firm in Orange County CA. I have been passionate about cars my whole life and I am happy to say that I am the proud new owner of a 2004 Porsche 911 GT3. This is my second Porsche and I will be keeping this one for a long time. I absolutely love this car.
To check out the pictures of the GT3 click the link below:

Here is a link to some pictures of my previously owned 1995 Porsche C2 (modfications include RS upper strut brace, Moton clubsport suspension, HR springs, TRG swaybars, Fikse wheels, Fabspeed exhaust, gutted interior, race alignment - I did all of the work myself):

Here is a link to my previously owned 1989 VW GTI 16v (I had this car for 13 years):

If any of you live in the area, join me at cars & coffee, Irvine sometime. I plan on attending on a regular basis.

Hey Mike:
Awesome Mk I GTI. I had 2 Mk I Jetta's. A while back I got a chance to ride in Shawn Veneer's MK I VR6 powered rabbit (awesome car).
My GTI had several modifications, which included 2.0 L block and head transplant (180 crank HP), Shrick 260 camset, 3 angle valve job, adjustable cam sproket, Stage 3 ported and polished head, header, TT exhaust, Rebuilt trany with Quaiffe LSD, clutchmasters stage 3 pressure plate and flywheel, and much more

Lovely car, many miles happy motoring for you ahead, and like all good gt3's of that vintage, it's sagging at the rear. Spring have compressed looks bit odd and prob. drives odd too, need get geo done and ride hight sorted it'll transform the vehicle.

God Vader : )- don't get me into what I did to my mk1- it's hilarious and I paid $650 for the gti- everything else I done is insane. Definitely won't get ne of my money back but hell many priceless memories on the track. The consumables even engine/tranny is a penny to a dollar to the gt3. Damn cheap : ). Mike

Interesting - I am a current '95 993 owner considering moving up to a GT3. Besides the power and looks, what are your other impressions vs. the 993(Vader and Mike)? I have never driven a GT3.

but stock to stock. GT3 has
better brakes
better gearing
better suspension and much easier to align b/c you dont have kinematic toe. and there are VERY VERY few shops that can really dial in kinematic toe.
look... well 993 looks much better. i try not to look at my 6, i just get in and drive it ;-)

I agree with Mike76. I had a track prepared 1996 993. I had an emotional attachment to that car that I do not have yet with the 6GT3, which performs better in almost every way. Most parts for the 6GT3 cost approximately double. It is a screamer. The 993 is an old school brick, and with Motons and re-gearing, can be just as much fun to drive, albeit slower.
