Dell, just curious, since we are on the topic of lack of track time.. how many DE days do you think you would need to "maintain" your skill levels? Or it is like bicycle riding that once you know how to do it, it will just take you a day or 2 to get your timing back?

To stay sharp I was at the track 1-2 times a month from mid Feb trough early Dec.
Just going 3-4 times a year "for fun" and I am off the pace but having a blast.

It usually takes me 2 sessions before I start pushing myself and car. Car hasnt been running for the same amount of time so I'm usually cautious 1st 2 sessions making sure nothing blows. Mike

Luxury.
I have done quite a few enduros where I show up, park my street car, walk over to the racecar with helmet - and that's all the "shake down" I get.
"get in the car and go" I am told.
I did that for a PCA club team at Road America - and promptly put the car on the pole in F class. So that works for me.
The luxury of a session would be sheer bliss.

Arrive and drive would be great but getting hooked on that crack would bankrupt me! Did it once for my race at Road Atlanta. Had my own engineer, crew, etc, etc, etc.. I showed up, raced, went home. Not packing up the trailer is a nice thing. Then I got the bill
