Wait a sec, so OZ Racing wheels are not to be used on a track?

Default Oz wheels

You can read up on track use for wheels here.

Damon. The wheels also show spider cracks where they are not painted. I bought my Oz wheels and pilot sport cups from you in March of 2013. You never mentioned that there is no warranty for track purposes. If you had,, I would not have purchased them. How can tire rack put a sport cup on Oz wheels and not expect the wheel to go on the track?

Please post good pictures of the "spider cracks" that are in an unpainted region.

Are we really turning this thread into an OZ bashing session? A Warranty issue and a not common cracking issue is all it takes? As if Porsche has never denied a manufacturing failure claim? Dial it back, guys.

Let's be fair - 'racing' in the model name is not an invitation to run your OZ Street wheels at LeMans. I eat Champion Wheaties, with just modest expectations.

There's a reason these are $1,800 for 4 , when a set of BBS (real track, street use disclaimed) wheels will set you back $6k.

The $4K delta can be applied somewhere on the continuum of how upset you get when either fail. BTW - I have a set of both.

Cheers

Matt

Well here in Aus my OZ wheels are $3700 AUD to buy, adjust for the poor exchange rate and that's still a lot of money to hand over for a set of wheels so I'd damn well expect them to hold up to what they're designed for.
