What is wrong with my shock mounts.
The drivers side shock mount looks to be 180 degrees out of phase with the passengers side. With equal shims installed on each side, the passengers side has 1.5 degrees more camber. Did the shop install one of the mounts backwards?

He doesn't have one of each, as the same bolt holes are being used.
If the bolt pattern is an equilateral triangle with the uniball at the centroid, the orientation won't matter.

I think not. On one side, the flat is facing the front, on the other it is facing the rear. ( look carefully at the picture and see that there is a flat side and a curved side) They are not symmetric, and the bolt pattern is not an equilateral triangle on purpose, so that there are 2 distinctly different orientations that will result in different camber ranges.
I see you have found Juha's discussion of this, although it is from 2007. I actually own that car now.

Good to know it is not an equilateral triangle.
For convenience I 'borrowed' and labeled a photo from here: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...-parts-fs.html
Known info is that B is the Inner bolt location for the rotated (more negative camber) setting. Is it safe to assume that the red marked ear, A, is the inner bolt location for the non-rotated mount?
