Hey guys,

Just to provide an update. I went in and got a chance to drive the car and look more carefully at the suspension with the mechanic. I'm not an expert, but I read through this thread with the mechanic and am convinced all the pieces are accounted for and assembled correctly. So now we are all hoping that it's just incorrectly labeled springs or a bad batch or something, and are ordering a new set.

32krazy!, I think the pic you attached is rear spring, but my front ones seem to be the issue.

Will post back when I have an update. Thanks again.

I did my fronts yesterday and there isnt much that can be done incorrectly other than the top mount direction... Ensure the arrow on top mount is pointing towards front of car..

The picture someone posted above is from my install and the rear strut has many more coils than the front..

Unless HR has changed the coils the Springs appear to be compressed for some reason, also there is a clear pvc tubing that you can slide over the coils that buffer the metal on metal noise from spring compression.

Since I'm currently taking my suspension out, I figured I'd take a pic in case it helps you. The coil count seems fine. Are the top mounts installed correctly? There is a tiny arrow stamped on them and it needs to face forward.. I think it's forward.

I have the same setup. Looks like you have the Left and Right Hats reversed. You should not be having any issues with this setup.

I had the same issue with my H&R front coils and resorted to adding more clear tubing the springs to prevent clunking at very low speeds.

I'm now convinced Ohlins R&T was the right solution from the start. I'll probably upgrade it for the second time soon.

This is my guess too.

So, the problem just went away after driving for a bit. Whatever it was, it's 99% gone. Car is quiet when turning, although I try to avoid locking the wheel bc I want to save myself some sanity.

Gotta love those self fixing suspension problems - I have been chasing a squeak from my right rear suspension that I wish would just go away...
