Question Brake pad shape

I run 996TT 4 piston calipers on my 944T, calipers came with Pagid U2474 RS 29 yellows.
Time for new pads I ordered Hawk DTC 60, was surprised the Hawks have round metal bosses where Pagid have none, pads seem same shape otherwise.
Did I receive wrong pads?

If these are rear calipers, then yes they are correct, the metal "weights" are for dampening.

The pads you received are correct. Some manufacturers use dampening weights, others do not.

I have a 2002 996t , the rear brake calipers have these weights, where as the fronts(larger) do not, is it possible you have the rear calipers installed as fronts on your 944t? As the 996t fronts are rather large for your application.

Yes fronts, they are a big upgrade from stock and required adapters

It's "damping", Dampening is done with a moist towelette.
