Yes, most of the older carbon is in poor shape. I re-made all the interior parts in my car. I haven't done the e-brake yet. That console started as a tan painted console.

All black leather 996tt with carbon fiber bits. Simple layout without TV monitor in center. YES!

I just picked up a w222 Mercedes S63 AMG and going from the S63 into the 996 Turbo interior is a huge difference in Tech ( night Vision massaging seats ,etc ) but as far as the quality of leather and smells I don’t feel like I got into of car of lesser quality or it being cheap inside compared to S63. Its like having a high quality old school car.

Anyone who has pulled one apart will say it's far from high quality. It's nice, but not the $120k nice these cars demanded new.

I have been in some new $120k+ cars recently, their interior materials are not high quality either. Take a peak inside a Lamborghini Urus.

This! Looks so much cleaner with it gone and opens up the cabin nicely.

I feel like the GT3 console delete makes the car look even older and lesser quality. Reminds me of a 993. To each their own though...

I'd love a set of the 997 GT3 seats. The 996 seat backs are too narrow and make the seat pretty uncomfortable. I can sit IN the 997 seats vs ON the 996 ones. I actually picked up a set of the "regular" 997 seats but they were full power and I didn't want to deal with all the wiring. So I'm looking for a set of partial power seats...

What do you have in now? I thought you had some GT3 buckets, or did you sell those? I've been looking at getting a set of full leather pole positions and would love to trade someone. As nice, modern looking, and comfy as the 997 GT3 seats are, I want more of a bucket seat.

I had a set of Euro GT3 seats but sold them to pay for a miata that I was planning on turning into an auto-x/DE car. Then I found out I didn't fit in the miata with my helmet on and wouldn't unless I cut out the floor and had a drop floor welded in. Car was too nice to subject it to that, so I sold it.

Have the stock 996 sports seats in the car now, which look nice but the seat back bolsters are too narrow for me.

^ Gotcha. Well if I end up in CO later this year we'll have to meet up. I'm sure you'd love the seats I have in now, might convince you to get a set.
