Default UMW Lightweight Flywheel Clutch Kit

So I purchased this kit from Kevin to replace the OEM clutch on my 05 Turbo S. Despite nearly stalling it the first couple times, I'm super happy with the performance and feel. The car is much more responsive and the engine spins up and back down in no time at all. I kept the OEM slave set up, so it's very drivable, but the characteristics are more.... racecar. I don't know if it's just me, but without the old dual mass fighting against the revs, it feels faster to boost and pulls harder than I remember.

I highly recommend Kevin's LWFW Clutch Kit.

Which kit was it exactly? Does it rattle? I'm still debating whether to get the 4.0RS kit or stick with the DMFW/Sachs 2.5. Just cannot decide for the life of me.

GT3 LWFW Clutch Kit. Yes, it rattles a little bit at idle and sounds awesome. I used to own a 1982 911 with a 993 3.6 conversion that had a LWFW setup - this kit for the Turbo brings me back in time.

I can’t comment on any other packages obviously because I don’t have any knowledge or experience, but Kevin steered me in this direction based on questions he asked me about my driving style and intended use of the car over time. He’ll help you decide.

This is great feedback and exactly what Kevin explained to me; I'll be going with this setup when I need to replace.

Any chance you can pull together a quick video of the revs? Inquiring minds who need to rationalize unnecessary things would like to know.

The LWFW clutch systems will rattle when the clutch pedal is not engaged. It is the nature of the beast. You will hear it. I tell people that if there is any doubt that the noise will bother you>>keep the dual mass clutch.

The above link show my dual mass/Sachs 764/GT2 clutch kit. For the aggressive street driver>it's a great clutch kit.
