Friday Lunch date. My date hated the Twin turbo
Took the 996TT downtown today for a lunch date. She said its to loud, to rough, to bouncy & exhaust smells! Go figure?

No doubt the more I mod my Turbo, the less my spouse enjoys going for a drive in it. I think the unobtanium exhaust might have been the final straw for any pretense of "it's just a car".
Test drove a bone-stock 991.2 base manual (turbo) the other day. Really liked it, but in a different way than the (capital T) Turbo. I thought how much more civilized it was than my Turbo...
...but then I'd want to start modifying it well. Cobb tune, DSC-sport suspension controller, maybe headers and GTS turbos, tweak the spring rates, and I'd be right back to where I am.

If you find a woman who is a Porsche fanatic, that can be like a double edge sword. She may want her own Porsche. Owning two Porsches for fun can get expensive.

When I first met my wife in 1972, I pointed out that I'm a Porsche guy, and probably always will be. She shrugged at that and we have had a good relationship. I'm now driving my 10th Porsche since 1970, and she still could care less. She lets me do my thing.
