Thanks guys, I guess I'll wait until things calm down and I get back to work and a bit of money in the porsche account. Went on porschepartsbyjeff.com and looks like d911 is the cheapest for replacements.

If you have children, you could sell them to replenish the Porsche fund...

Yeah I hear you. The dreaded spoiler switch malfunction lit up on first decent drive of the season. Hoping it goes away as have never had it light in 10 years of ownership and 100,000km.
Great thread.

Hopefully nothing serious for you, nice to know you travelled 100,000km before any trouble though, restores my faith in the spoiler unit and whether it's worth repairing.
Thankyou

I have a question on caliper paint. When I replace my pads and discs I'll remove and paint my calipers. Is the porsche red a certain colour or can I just get a generic red caliper paint from the local auto parts store? Also do we just use a dot 4 fluid as specified in the service manual?

if you do repaint? just make sure the stickers line up with your top hat.

Thanks guys, I have some of those porsche stickers. I would really like to paint them yellow as I think they would look great on body colour but I wanto keep the car original so I guess red it is!
Also how much of the dot4 do I need to fully flush the system?

Be careful not to get air in lines if youre doing it without a pressure bleeder.
