Well here it is guys! Today I said goodbye to my 964 and picked up my 01 996 turbo, tiptronic in lapis blue it has 169,000km it's a 1 owner car from England, has all the service stamps in the book until about 3 years ago. Rainy day test drive at the dealers Test drive over the hill from home Last drive in my 964 this morning Finally home! Straight up on the ramps Its rough underneath!
This is going to be fun...
And that's it for the day! The first thing I'm going to do is clean, clean, clean and clean then I'll try and work out where to start.
My plan for the car is to get it to tip top condition and everything working as it should, then just enjoy it.

Hi there, I'm in New Zealand I pair $64,000nzd for the 996. In Australia they seem to be going for about $150,000nzd which I do not understand!
The original owner migrated to New Zealand and brought the car with him so unsure what it cost him however I'm currently sending a muscle car to australia and its costing about $10,000aud
Why did you make the switch from air to water cooled? I made the same move too, curious what your reasons were.
Hello! To be honest the only real motivation was I wanted a rhd car and my 964 was a lhd. It was just the right two guys selling the right two cars at the same time kind of thing! My perfect car would be a manual rhd 964 but they are out of my reach at the moment. What was your previous car?

If the headers and turbo are not loose nor leaking exhaust leave them alone.
