My door rattles, need expert advice
It's the driver door on my '04 Cab, 36K miles, never wrecked. A little pavement irregularity or bump will cause an annoying rattle. I've adjusted it several times but to no avail, it keeps rattling.
I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I did a post years ago in removing the clutch helper spring for better feel. I made my TT RWD, I diagnosed and fixed my ABS/PSM warning issues, fixed a 914 that would pop out of gear, but I can't adjust the door striker properly to eliminate the rattle.

Burning Brakes
Is it the striker engagement for sure? Mine has an internal rattle, but my key will not unlock the door, so I am assuming the lock mechanism is somehow fubared. Common problem.
