How long have you owned your Turbo?
#31
Have had my 2003 Turbo for 4 1/2 years. It has been a wonderful 4 1/2 years. Best car I have ever owned. I plan on selling it this year though. Retiring and turning 73 this year. Just a little bit low getting in and out of for my bad back. I looked a long time before I found what I wanted. A very special car - Orient red with natural brown interior, 6 speed with the X50 option. Had 13K on it when purchased, now about to turn 37K. Never been in snow/salt - SoCal and south Georgia car. Have repaired/replaced most of the the things that go bad with age - real spoiler replaced with the Rennkit electronic version, accumulator and slave, new plugs and coils, alternator, etc. 100% stock except for the 3 piece forged aluminum Kinesis K28R wheels. Probably will list it when people are out and about again after this virus thing moves along.

Really interesting thus far. Throwing up a screen shot of the current distribution. I'll make a note to check-in with Survery Monkey replications of this poll to compare how the curve looks over time. My guess is many current owners are set for long-term ownership and the skew will move toward center over time.

Yes on likely long term ownership.
I’ve been tempted with a GT3 and a RS; but the 996TT’s real world analog performance with everyday/all-season usability is still hard to beat. And I still get to enjoy motorsport provenance via its GT1-derived Mezger engine!
Without NVH and suspension modifications, a GT3 only makes sense if I have to combine my 6TT’s and my racecar’s functions into one car. Unfortunately, it would be a compromise in street comfort and race setup.

Going on two years. I normally get itchy at this time for a new car but this thing still checks all the boxes. Buying the car was also an amazing experience. Flew up to Michigan and drove it 1500+ miles home to Tampa, FL with my old man. Including a run or two through the Dragon in TN/NC. That in itself was worth the purchase....my father's face in this picture says it all

Ten years now. Had the 993TT as well for the first 3 years. When I was moving I knew I didn’t have room for both so sold the 993 in 2013. The 996 was and still is by far the better car so it made the decision easy. Have never had any regrets. It’s bone stock and has been an amazing and very reliable car. No plans to ever sell it. Hoping to get it out of storage soon depending on this virus mess.

One year of ownership. Bought it sight unseen from a Pca member in Arizona. Flew down there with two of my kids and drove it back to Denver. Almost all back roads. Replicated the same drive my wife and I did 15 years ago when we bought our first 911, 1980 SC. This is our 4th Porsche and the best one so far.

Apr 12 will be my 2 year anniversary with my TT. I've been "restoring" it since I got it and I think I'm nearly finished. Before and after pics..
