Default Out of storage today

She started immediately after 5 and a half months. Drove her home. No warning lights, engine sounded perfect. I love this car. 😇😇😇

congrats, you must have been jonesing for boost!

i'm about to "store" mine for a minute. can i ask? did you unhook the battery or trickle charge it? I ask as i have never stored it before or disconnected the battery for long term and i am hoping i wont have to jump through hoops once i hook it up again. no power to keep the ctek on it or i would.

Keep it on a trickle charger; a little cycling is good for the battery.

I trickle charged it. Seems to work best for the battery.

Depending on which way it is facing, you could use a solar trickle charger too.

I’ve had mine disconnected for weeks while working on it, not sure why it wouldnt start
after reconnecting it.

No, I dont get codes.

Id roll the window down slightly, turn the key on then off and leave the key in it, then disconnect the battery.

This should stop any issues with the alarm.

didnt that guy store his car over winter? Car should last for at least a week. I double press my key fob to turn off sensors. Anyway if your battery dies its the same as battery disconnected anyway so... Yeah... Flip a coin?

yeah winter storage, that thread.. its not a "week" its going to sit and barely get run at all while i re-locate. i've been double clicking the key remote for years lol. thx.. i'll either look into a solar charger ( thatd be great! ) or just disconnect and hope for the best. thx all and
sorry receiver for the diversionary questions in your thread. it wasn;t worth starting a new one - and was timely! my bad.

Not in the States - any camping/auto store should have one, probably under $20.

That's odd - some of the other guys may know this better, but does it think it's being stolen? I have noticed that if I leave the car for a couple of weeks I cannot unlock it with the fob, I have to use the key to disable the alarm. Possibly related?

If the car is not unlocked with the remote control within five days, the remote control standby feature is switched off and the key has to be used in the door to unlock the car and disable the alarm.
