My passenger was a pro instructor - Tammy from Apex. I didn’t want to end up on the YouTube crash reel my first few times around. 😜

And... I was taking it easy. It’s a humbling experience.

Sonnenberg is a beautiful area!

I did some laps with the instructor and then two without. The ones without were quite terrifying since it was not my car and trying to remember what to do in which corners. GI Joe was right, knowing IS half the battle.

It takes 50+ laps to start to get some confidence.

Yes, jealous, but happy that an ex pat put it together. I remember you shipping it in a container; why didn't you air freight it over? If memory serves you were back east, so it shouldn't have been that bad cost wise.

LOL, why didn’t I air freight it over? same reason I don’t have a 200ft yacht and a helipad 😜, and endless babes... The container was pretty cheap. The extra shipping insurance was the costly piece. COVID stalled the relo by 6 months, so everything was ready to go by the time we arrived.

Gotcha. I thought it was only a buck or two per pound to ship by air...

You need a helicopter for your helipad...

Was also on my bucket list and i loved it so much, will go back at some point, even my wife loved it.
got a two day track event, of the full track, No public allowed. was actually a TRACK event. Rented a track prepped e92 M3. worth saving the money for it, Was SO EPIC..
definitely a must for any track enthusiast. Only regret i have from it, was not adding SPA to my package. Would of been two birds with one stone, never realized how close spa is from the ring.

I rented a race prepped car and drove there last year it was soooo stressful (it was raining) and fun at the same time, definitely will be going back again

Ugh. I love this. Assuming/Hoping COVID dissipates by next summer as my wife and I are doing a two week euro vacation. Secretly plotting to ship my Turbo over for the trip...

I too have thought of this - the other place I wouldn't mind taking it is too Maui and drive up Haleakalā - I did that a few years ago in a Mustang (and against baby brother who was in a magic van) and I loved it; the road up is very challenging with few places to pass.
