Default looking for a 996TT, checklist

I did a search on what to look for when purchasing a 2001-03 996TT, I didn't see a lot of specifics, mostly telling potential buyers to get a PPI, OK, and accidents, paint, significant modifications, etc. I get that a no brainer, however in addition to pinning the coolant lines and suspension upgrades what else am I missing? A list would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Maintenance history is nice, welded coolant lines is a +, as is a clutch. Other than that, nothing really out of the ordinary. I have a 2003 70k miles, black/black 6 speed for sale if interested.

slave cylinder, coolant pipes, spoiler rams, 2nd gear popout----there's your list, now be sure to post a pic of the car when you get it....oh and over revs ( which really don't matter if engine runs great)
-10k for tip tronic, plus for sport seats, plus for dark interior. what are you using it for? track car, cars and coffee, daily driver, garage queen?
these are great cars,

Also, if a car doesn’t have pinned coolant lines, I wouldn’t have that as a deal breaker. Nice thing about having it done at your own shop is you can have them do a lot of extra while you’re in there items, that not all owners may want to do. Especially if they blew a coolant line unexpectedly in the middle of summer and want to get the car back on the road.

Cracked tail light lenses.
Cracked tail light flanges where they bolt to the body.
Don't fully rely on carfax info.
Look for foam bits in the heater/air vents.

Expect to fix unless proven.
fuel pump/sender/venturi lines
front and rear trans mount/engine mount.
front wheel bearings
Fluids.
Coolant xpan tank and cap.
Diverter valves and upgraded f hose
spoiler mechanism
Clutch actuation mechanism
Clutch
boost leaks
Window actuators
Ignition switch
tail lights
Front radiators
wheel alignment to your liking (tire wear)

maybe
2nd gear
Cv boots

Depending who you ask
coolant lines

change your oil every 3k
Change your transmission oil every 15k
Bleed your brakes every year or 2
Bleed your slave when you bleed your brakes.
dont replace your spoiler drive with oem unless you get a used set for 200$
dont use crap gas

Mods easily seen
Exhaust
tune
turbos
Bodywork
Airbox
Intercoolers
Hoses
Diverter valves
Wheels/spacers

Other stuff.
seeing high rev ranges is fine on a tuned car.
if you see high rev ranges on a stock car, it was tuned and returned to stock or a teenager owned the car.

If you see abnormally high rev ranges
Say 65k/65k on a 9k mile car either the owner is a pro driver and the rings are seated very very nicely
or someone loved to miss shifts.

Other thoughts
doing a ppi with the info contained in this forum
On your own is so much better than having someone that may not care about some dude spending 30k+ on an almost 20 year old car.

ps
Info contained in this forum may cause headaches and some sleepless nights.

Maybe.

It really depends on how many miles are on the car and how long the new owner keeps it (among other things.)

Turbo wastegate actuators in decent shape. They get rusted and corroded pretty easily. Mine broke at 50k miles.

Almost 10 years ago when I bought my TT, a dealer used a CPO checklist to do a PPI. It included everything needed as far as a P dealer is concerned.

But, as more cars are starting to fail in non track conditions (recently I am thinking about Ruf Rob), it is most certainly something to consider, especially with higher mileage cars.
