It's best to jump to another company every couple years. Find an agent who represents multiple companies. Go with the lowest price now and when it gets out of control ask the agent to work you up a lower quote with another company. They do all the work.
.....this is the truth

Same. We had a broker that found us Cincy.

My Hagerty renewal is due next month, it jumped $500! Need to call them tomorrow because that’s almost a 50% jump.

I use Hagerty. Customer service when purchasing and the follow-up after has been great.
Another friend uses Cincinnati through the same broker I use for Hagerty, also no complaints.

The difficult part with any of these companies is you don't really know how they are until you file a claim which you also hope to never have to do.

The reason I went with Hagerty was they seemed to have the fewest number of complaints when you hear about a company actually paying out. I switched from another company and pay double with Hagerty ($1700 vs $800), but did it for the genuine parts replacement guarantee and also the agreed value. I also didn't want to deal with the number of restrictions some of these companies have. I described in writing how I use my car and submitted it to my broker and also directly to Hagerty so I know I'll be covered. I sleep better at night and that is worth the increased cost to me. It won't be for everyone, but it is for me.

Grundy for the past 8 years, use Hagerty for the Audi TT which is lowest value but most expensive due to all the other idiot kid drivers that have them.

Welcome to the club! My 01 225QC Track car, 180k miles all original drivetrain making close to 400hp/tq at the motor. So many of them have been super neglected with how reliable they were with the 1.8ts and the young VW crowd getting into them after hacking up MK4's.

I have to say Hagerty is a pleasure to deal with. Called them up and my payment is now even lower than before. They couldn’t figure out why my rate jumped almost 50% and after rerunning the numbers with the same coverage as before, this years renewal is less than last year (I pay in full). Super happy with them so far.

I have had 2 cars with Hagerty for many years. When I went to add the turbo, they refused because pleasure drives and occasional errands constituted daily driver activity. Once I said occasional errands, there was no more discussion which I found odd. It was cheaper for the same coverage with Amica anyway, so I guess for the time being it has worked out. Currently evaluating other carriers though so we will see what changes.

That's not right, I have Grundy, stated value and 2,500 mile annual limit. Insured for pleasure use. $630 per year, plus in my case I get the broker commission back. They write it with Philadelphia Insurance. I would re-check.
