I offered my 996TT '04 Cab, lowered with KWV1, RWD, with custom wheels to a neighbor last year for $56K. Other than that it's all stock, no chip, no exhaust, now 38K miles, with everything working. He still wants if for that price, but I told him I think it's worth more now. My brother, in Porsche sales for over 15 years tells me his dealership would likely pay me $60 for it, and sell it for more. My bro also told me I'd never likely find anything as nice, fun to drive as what I have in a Porsche for $60K. My cars MSRP was 136K, I've owned it for 11 years. IMHO, X50 was not worth any more to me the year I spent looking for a mint TT back around 2010. My brother got an '04 Cab TT with X50 before I got mine. His was a Tip and I drove it, hard a few times. He also has an exhaust but it didn't feel as fast as my non X50 stock 6 speed. I think the X-50 was a huge profit generator for Porsche as a very expensive option that yielded bragging rights in the bar or gym, not much else. Take it all for what it's worth, I BTW owned a 996 C2 Cab for 7 years prior to getting the TT.

looks maybe 10k overpriced, but has a lot of things going for it. rare color combo, low miles and cali car it's whole life.

makes no sense why they had to recut and program keys three times though.

they have a blue '01 with more miles in the mid 60s... love the color combo but looking through the history seems like the car sat for a while and probably has a ton of deferred maintenance...

Thanks! New to the 996tt market, thus wasn't sure why premium other than color combo. Really pretty car. I might go put eyes on it.

Thanks!

That car could be worth $80, I would offer $75k.

No sure what you're seeing. The Carfax says the car was driven regularly and well-maintained it's entire life. 30k mile service done just a few months ago.

Wow, pretty car. However, I'd expect this to be an X50ish price. Hell, maybe even an S at this price point.

i was referring to the blue '01 they also have for sale.

https://www.porschewarrington.com/us...2796720018.htm

the last owner put 1k miles on it over the last 9 years with no services being recorded.

Holy cow it was a good buy! Peak of Covid, stock market down 12% some days that week will do that to an auction I guess. Greedy when others are fearful, etc. can pay off for sure.

I don't know. I could see that selling with an 8 handle easily on BaT, as it is.

Funny, I had inquired about this car a while back, as there is no price listed...texted with the owner, and I guess I offended him when I was shocked at the asking price and if we were talking about the same car that sold for $66k...he was like "is that illegal? Where were you when it was for sale..."

Great car...but $250k? Really?
