You can use an allen key to remove it as well.

Do you by have a picture of what you’re referring to? Thanks for your help.

I bought mine directly from Dave at Rennkit. This is what it looks like:

It appears that Dave no longer sells this wrench, but he does have a more expensive model for $50. If that's a bit rich, here's one on Amazon for $25. Looks like 2-day delivery:

Amazon Amazon

Hopefully you need it because you are installing a set of eRams. I have two 996TTs, both with the Rennkit eRam kits. Fantastic product and truly an upgrade, not just a repair.

Thanks for the Amazon link. I had searched there yesterday and did not see one. Order placed!
No, not installing an eRam kit yet as my car only has 40K and the hydraulics still operate well.... although I know its only a matter of time. I am going to try out a Misha GT2 blade and see how I like it.

That's basically a coilover collar wrench.

Gently rotate the piston until the holes in the chrome part and the brass part underneath line up then insert the short end of the largest allen key you can get in there (3mm I think?) then you can use that for leverage to turn the assembly to release the wing.

Essentially yes, but the "pin" seems to be of a smaller diamter and the coilover wrences have a rectangular pin and was skeptical that it would fit.

Turn the silver tube by hand until you see the inner hole. Insert alan key . Just place a key in the hole / inner and grab silver tube with hand and turn 1/4 ++ to detach from wing.

keep the wing up: if working raise the wing. Insert towels to keep the wing max height. If not working just lift with hands. Rip out all the hydraulic. insert a metal rod 2.5 inch into the bottom of the hydraulic. This is where the hydraulic line connects to the tubes L/R. Insert screws to hold pin in place. Wing is always up and leaking hydraulic out.

add extra inch to heigh: one of the tubes have a limiter with in. Open up the spring loaded tube. Insert extra pin above the factory inner pin. Re assemble and install as above.

Always up / extended extra 1 inch
