Default CO emissions w/tune

Fellow enthusiasts I seek your advice. I have a 2004 996TT Cab with UMW tune (and several other mods). I had my car at a dealer in Denver for maintenance and asked them to get the emissions test done. They reported the emissions center could not communicate with my car. There are no issues with PIWIS or my Durametric communicating with the car. I can switch back to stock with my programmer and try again, but not sure this is the issue. Anyone got any thoughts? BTW, if the emissions test center cannot communicate through the OBD port, there is an option (according to the Air Care website) of doing it the old fashioned way with tail pipe testing. The dealer said if the car was deemed to have performance mods, it would be red listed and required to be put back to stock (I have Europipes and Sportec intake as other mods). I am also trying to get the car ready for eventual sale...Thanks for your input.

I responded to your pm on 6 speed. Put your stock airbox in the car, flash it back to stock, make sure the emissions readiness monitors are set and take it to smog.

The Europipe exhaust looks exactly like stock and has cats, so don't worry about it

It's pretty simple to swap out your exhaust if need be. I was doing this for a few years until my state got rid of emissions surprisingly.

Any chance a low battery would cause the emissions tester to not "connect with" the car? It was tested at 2 different locations and both locations reported they could not connect to the car. PIWIS, Durametric and 2 other scan tools seem to work just fine. I did discover the battery was failing and replaced it today.

For what it's worth I had problems several times here in NC in the shop getting mine to connect and it was corrected by really forcing the connection plug into the receptacle. My other things like Durametric etc never gave me a problem but the two testing sites couldn't get it to connect until they applied sufficient force to get their plug into the socket. I now always stay with my car when testing. Never made any sense to me.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
