Are BBi coils any better, or last longer than, the OEM ones?

What's the general consensus on this forum and platform when it comes to tuning? Have you tuned your engine and/or transmission? If you did, why did you do it, and if you didn't, what's holding you back?
We've been tuning Porsches for over 20 years at APR. You can see a list of Porsche Models we tune here. It's not all of them, but a good chunk of models. The software we have is also on sale until the end of October right now.
When it comes to some of the other brands we tune, some of the more high end models, like the Audi RS6 and the Audi RS3 are heavily tuned. On the RS3 front it's hard to find one that isn't tuned. We see the same on some Porsche models, but on others it seems some are hesitant.
So, what's your take on tuning?

TCU would apply to the tip guys, if they provide a tip tune.

No tune, motor is 100% stock with stock air filter and exhaust. Stock original spark plugs, stock coils, stock original clutch, brake pads and even the OE windshield wipers too.
I roadraced motorcycles for about a decade, up to 4 different classes from 400cc to 1000cc and a highly built Superbike 750, in hundreds of races.I've also raced during speed week at Bonneville. I'm done! I did start climbing rock and ice for an adrenalin fix over 20 years ago,
I bought my TT for the Mezger motor. I wanted a cab and would have taken that with a GT3 motor. I also wanted RWD, so I did that, lowered and tuned the suspension with coilovers, adj sways. I don't really care about acceleration. My car does fine in the canyons and I can have my passengers screaming pretty easily with the motor as it came.
But hey, to each their own.

I have a flashed tune on my high miles 996 Turbo and have had for nearly 15 years. It was tuned and mildly modified when I bought it. I have never had a need to fiddle with it ( OBD flash handheld etc ) and would not consider having this platform without the added power of a "reputable" tune. I also have another car that has been running an APR tune for many years also, trouble free, and I feel it has to have increased available power on tap by ( if I had to guess ) 20+%. I believe that also to be commensurate with the tune on my Porsche, in terms of perceived and/or actual "gains".
