Andrew, I think its a great price considering how low the mileage is and if the condition is excellent and a straight car.

That's exactly the kind of deal that I'm looking for.

I think it's a very good deal. I recently purchased an 01 with 5100 miles and paid much more. The car had some mods and is virtually mint, but that's a good price for NY metro area based upon what I saw when I was looking 60 days ago.

Are sports seats something you'd want to try out before purchase. I haven't tried any recently, but earlier series sports seats were tight for daily use- unless you are in the uniquely fit 3% of Americans. AS

I was top bidder on that car on ebay (in fact, the ONLY bidder) if the car you describe was at Bentley Long Island. When I called last Thursday, the salesperson was busy but by the time I got back with him (Friday) he said they sold the car for $82,000. Not a bad buy, but not the $79,500 "Buy It Now" on ebay either.

I'm selling my '01 Turbo in the classified section if you're interested for about $73K. It has 29000 miles, extended warranty, coilovers, exhaust , and ECU flash.

For what it's worth, I was just high bidder on two 996 twin turbos on ebay (neither met the reserve.) Oddly - or perhaps not so - both sellers came back with what I felt were reasonable counter offers. I can only get one, so the one that's available is a 2001, arctic with black sports seats, and 5,100 miles for $76k if anyone's interested. It's got the digital sound, crested head rests and centers and I think that's it.
