Question spoiler question

Just wondering this is common: auto rear spoiler works when triggered by the car's speed (up and down), but the switch on the dash does not trigger it. Is there a reset or other fix? Owner's manual doesn't help.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Happy Labor Day

The switch should raise and lower the wing at any speed less than 67 MPH. Over that, it should be up automatically and come back down when you hit 35 (I think) MPH. Test your switch at idle to see if it works or not. Good luck!

Switch does not work at idle, at moderate speed, or otherwise. Probably just a bad switch. I was hoping there was some sort of "reset" that I could perform as it seems that simple switches should not be faulty.

Thanks again!

Pull off the trim piece that houses the switches and make sure the wire harness is securely attached.

Talking Update:

Fellow owners and viewers:

Got the machine back today. I remember my Audi 1.8t; at that time it was my first standard transmission but I knew then that the car was sharp, reponsive and (admittedly) a lot of fun to drive.

I wonder if that had anything to do with the brand new clutch...;-)

This Turbo is out of this world. The clutch and transmission, which heretofor was though "hard to manage", has now become - as I would call it - 'one with the car'.

So, off I go, to embark upon my first real Porsche experience. Pictures will be forthcoming...
