jaime...it is a cdr 25. i have already an ipod connection through a modulator, but the quality of the sound is not the same. i am not really an audiophile so it works for me at this point. i've done the glove box removal, but in my case i removed the entire assembly and then removed the leather cover. your way is much easier. at the time i did not realize that you could unsnap the hydraulic cylinder from the glovebox cover to get access to the screws towards the back. live and learn...i say.

thanks for your help and keep this thread going...will help alot of people down the road.

It is a compilation of a lot of information that has been shared by others on this forum. That is what makes Rennlist such a great site. Glad it was of help.

Be sure to post photos of your new baby when you get it.

Well, rear passenger speaker seems to have gone bad. Need to look for a replacement. Will check with Tom Kerr to see if he has his or they sold with the panels.

Check Engine Light - Misfires cyl 3 & 6

Error code has not come back after I cleared the errors. I ordered the parts anyway in preparation for the next service.

Guess I'm lucky... I bought my 02' Turbo in 05' on ebay sight unseen with 9600 miles on her. No PPI or extended Porsche warranty. 55k on her now. Every mile since the time I bought her has been as a rental car. It's never been to the dealer for a problem.

Well.... car sold... traded in for an '09 BMW X5 xDrive35d (along with the Nissan Armada).

Funny story is that I tell a very close friend and he gets mad at me for not letting him know... so he drives to the BMW dealer that took the trade-in and bought the car...

Here is him at my house with the car...

He is buying all the spare parts I have... The extra set of wheels I had were his anyway, so now he has a car to put them on

Congratulations on the sale and the BMW diesel (have always been curious how those were).
I will miss your 996TT contributions.

A few recent photos:

Rear carbon fiber spoiler painted to match. A nice carbon fiber strip was left only clear coated. I think it came out very nice.

Bottom moldings painted and rear bumper guards:

He also had a few trim pieces covered in carbon fiber:

Most recent changes were the painting of a few interior trims that were chipped (like the side covers in the seat that can be seen chipped in the previous photo), and painting the stock wheels in gun metal gray with a red strip around the rim. I need to take a photo of the wheels to share. Next time I am at my friends house.
