With cup holder that fits (not sure why I would want to keep that option in the car... but it works for putting a small toy in there... )

Made an appointment for the car. Clutch pedal is getting stuck at the bottom... unable to engage the clutch. Same as the TSB that is out there...clutch pedal would slightly bind just about where the clutch engages on pedal travel. I am left unable to shift into any gear. After many pumps, waiting, etc. I can get the clutch to start working. After that clutch does not appear to be slipping. Seems the power assist bleeds off overnight.

Sounds like the Accumulator is bad and/or the slave cylinder is leaking.

FYI Wachuko - if you only carry one child in your car put their booster seat behind yours (the drivers seat) - if anything (God Forbid) ever happened when you are driving, a drivers instinct is to protect tyhemselves first so if your shld is behind you it is generally a safer place to be - just wanted to pass that info on.

Thank you for the comment but I will need more info... Where are you getting this information from ?? Do not take it the wrong way, just want to make sure it is based on hard data.

I always thought that if he was behind me there was a higher chance of getting hurt.

I would like to know if there is info/stats on this that would indicate that one is safer than the other one.

Wachuko - not based on any hard data I am aware of just something I remember reading somewhere and it made sense to me - I also have two small kids who travel in my car a bit and if I have only one I always ask the one to sit behind me. Sorry I didn't really have a better answer for your question though.

Cool. My reasoning is along the lines of my seat back or seat breaking and acting as an additional safety issue. I thought that him sitting behind the seat that is empty would allow for less risk. It also allows me to reach him if something goes wrong. I had a good scare with my daughter once when she almost choke with a lollipop and I was able to react because by her sitting in the seat across I could see her better and reach her to pull the candy out (I know that there is the question of letting her have a lollipop in the first place but we learned and we do not do that anymore)....

Ended up being a bad master cylinder (PN: 996-423-171-52). Getting replaced under warranty. Car should be ready tomorrow afternoon. They gave me this to drive:



And I have to tell you, what a great car It is not the S but the regular one. Feels solid, interior is far better than the previous one, exhaust noise is awesome, performance is great, even the automatic tranny feels good . I have always loved the looks of the Boxster and the changes they have made is just icing on the cake. This car rocks! Drove with the top down all the way (beautiful day here in Orlando). Too bad it is only a two seater... need to pick up one kid and then come back home to switch cars to get the other one...

Extremely easy to do. I used the B&M SSK install instructions. Made the center console replacement a breeze with all the photos and details. The instructions from Eric could use some improvement (photos and more details). So before anyone does the CC install I recommend looking/reading and printing the B&M SSK install instructions.
