Default 19" wheel question..

I see tha most of the popular wheels on this forum are the European wheels like HREs, but since I come from an import world, I was wondering if you guys have any experience, or heard of the 996 TTs using Volk Racaing Wheels, and how would it work out on my TT. (And they are only 20 lbs!!!!!!!)

I'm considering the TE37 (link bellow) specs are:

19x8.5 Front
19x11 Rear
bolt pattern 5x130
offset
+51mm front
+44mm rear

http://rayswheels.co.jp/indexe.html

Will they rub?
Also do I go with 35? or 30? series profile tires so I don't look I'm going to go 4 wheeling....

Thanks

-Ryan

6speed

Can't answer about those particular wheels, but shouldn't have a problem with those sizes.

Currently using HREs but have used Japanese rims in the past such as Work and Volk before. They are sensational rims, very light and excellent value for money. Only thing is they are not very Porsche like but who really cares... (Work make the rims for FVD though...)
Offset and width should work. Have been thinking of going to 19s for some time but just cant seem to justify the potential harshness that could result.

I would rather spec a slightly heavier wheel w/ 12" width and run 315's or 335' . running 11's bump you down to 295's.

I may be going 19's and I believe you can run 305's without a sidewall problem. I could be wrong?

I run 235/35 & 315/25 on 19 inch rims (8.5 & 11 respectively).

305's are hard to find in decent rubber. wross set up will work infact most mfgr \s recommend 315's on 11.-12" so you will fine, but most prefer 11.5" -12" widths.
