leaving the spoiler up
I am looking for the thread that tells you how to leave the spoiler up and IIRC jump two leads on the connecter so the warning light does not come on. Does anybody remember it? Thanks.

I have been wondering the same thing. I believe if you press the spoiler up button and raise it when you start the car it will stay up until you cycle the key off. I keep forgetting to try this, but I do worry about the thing going up and down dozens of times every day. I would just as soon it stay up all the time , even if gas mileage suffers at low speeds. Who drives these things at low speeds anyway ?

Schred,
You are correct. If you manually put it up it will stay up for that entire trip. Once you turn the key off then go to drive it again it will work as normal once you hit 75 MPH where it would have gone up anyhow.

I thought I had read that once you hit 75 and the spoiler raises, it stays raised until the speeds gets very low. Going from 75 to 70 or 50mph I think doesn't drop the spoiler.

Yep once it's raised then it does not go back down until 35 MPH. If you do the manual raise though with the button it will stay up for the entire duration of that trip.

I'm going to leave mine up for the same concern. I just had mine replaced under warranty for $1500 and saw the guts of it. It's a pretty (overly) complicated assembly. I think I'll try to minimize the amount of up and down with the thought that it may last a bit longer.
