Default Did I Tell You Guys Already That I Love My 996TT?

One of those mid-sixties, gorgeous evenings here in lower Michigan. A nice change from the wind and rain we have had for the past week. I grabbed the 15 year old boy, and he and I dropped the top and took about an hour drive this evening. This was the first time driving with the wind screen up behind the seats. We turned the heat on the floorboards, and had a thoroughly enjoyable ride. No wind issues at 40mph or 90mph. Man...I love this car! And the more I drive it, the more it seems to impress, and those little run ups to 1.1 bar are just like icing on an already great cake!

I finally upped for the full Rennlist membership tonight, so I won't feel so much like the freeloading uncle who shows up for a weekend and is gone.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Will be curious to see if you feel that way in a year

I've been avoiding daily driving mine so it feels a little more "special."

I can tell you that I still get a sh*t eating grin on my face every time I get in my car after having it for about 15 months. So for me the feeling has not gone away.

Ken, I know exactly how you feel. I find myself looking for any reason to stay home on the weekends so that I can take mine out for long drives. I have also just about stopped driving anything else on the weekends. These cars do it all and do it well.

The 996tt is my 15th 911. I have some other fun cars but I just love the tt every time I get in it. It feels like home. A very quick, competent and reliable home. If I could only have one sports car it would be a tt.

I am about a half hour north of Detroit. I haven't really tried to find the max boost yet. If I can find a nice deserted stretch of road one of these days, I'll see if I can explore the limits a bit This part of the state is just crawling with police, and I know the minute I let my guard down, I'll get popped.
