Default Where to buy Mobil 1 0w-40 or 5w-40

I'm having a real hard time trying to find oil locally. Does anyone know anywhere to purchase it for a decent price?

I've seen some 5w-40 for Turbo Diesels, I don't recall what brand though, would that be sufficient?

FWIW, the current issue of Pano has the latest Porsche oil recommendations.
You can also buy M1 online from various suppliers.
Your local Wally World should also have it in stock.

Whoops, just updated my profile. I am in Long Island, NY.

What are some good online retailers that sell this weight? I went to mobil's website and the 4 online sites they show do not sell 0w40.

I'll have to check the NAPA here as Pep Boys, autozone, and costco did not have it.

I buy M1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W40 from any of the normal chain auto parts houses... Pepboys/advanceauto/Carquest/autozone... Thinking about swapping to the shell version as it has almost identical properties and is a bit less...

Mobil has a higher flash point and a lower pour point. Also higher sulfated ash which will help with neutralizing acids.

Shell Rotella T 5w40 is SM cert and the M1 5w40 is SL. I can assume this means the Shell has a lower ZDDP concentration compared to the M1.

IMO Mobil has better specs... paying a few bucks more a jug is worth it... just my .02

Oh please, don't start another 'oil viscosity discussion'.
I'm begging you.

The Rotella "T" 5W40 more than meets the requirements.

Fret not....I won't get into a viscosity discussion....but I did find a distributor just south of Sacramento, CA who carries the Mobil 1 5W 50 in gallon lots. It's the only place I've found it so far. My next oil change isn't due till around March/April 09, so at that time, I'm thinking of switching to the 5W50. Here in the Sacramento Valley, it doesn't get much colder than maybe the mid teens in the winter. The 5 weight will be fine for a cold weather viscosity in that temperature range.
