Default Headlight washer jet cover

Just noticed I'm missing the chrome cover of passenger headlight jet cover.
Any clue where I could get one of these?

Best price is with Sunset...

Easy to replace. I removed the headlight, put 15lbs of air into the hose that will pop up the washer (best if you have someone helping) and then just replace the old with the new.

I will look for the photos of when I did my headlights. This was one of the things I did.

forgot to include part number... different part no. for left and right.

Part # 996-628-144-00
Part # 996-628-143-00

But when you call, just ask for them. Common replacement. Pelican also has them for 47.50ea + shipping

Its 50+ at the dealer, I had to replace mine recently, they should have a warning about using them at 120mph+ that they fly off

Basically, I had my wife turn them on, I pulled on it, and removed the old broken piece with the new, it just snaps into place.

These are my old, broken, one. Missing from the photo is the chrome covers (they don't just sell the chrome covers). Notice the different colors to identify L from R.

I think I paid around 32.00 from Sunset... but I might be mistaken on the price... it was a few months ago.

You'd think that Porsche would have designed a fail safe threshold so that the headlight cleaner didn't activate above whatever speed it is they seem to fly off.

I accidentally hit mine the other day....never even knew which switch activated it....but fortunately I was idling at the time. They're really a useless accessory considering how much it has cost a number of P car folks who have activated them at speeds where they fly off.

Reminds me of when I had my hood badge fly off down the main straight at Big Willow.

You use the right hand stalk on your steering wheel column....pull it towards you, but your lights have to be on.....or if you really want an accurate description....look under "Headlight washer" in your owners manual.

I think you actually push them away from you. I unfortunately did it last week and just placed the replacement order for a new one. Sucks.....

Yes, I believe it is activated by pushing the stalk away from you (toward the dash).

Did that accidentally while driving along about 45 mph and away it (the lefthand cover) went!

Had never used them on purpose before, so decided then that I'd only cycle them when at idle if the need ever arose.
