These kinds of things are available on ebay from dismantlers all the time. Before I forked that money over I'd search for used. Is your car a cab?

I'm with Deckman.......There are usually two camps....one advocates fixing everything 100% thru a dealership, and paying full bore for dealership markups on parts...and the other looks to "alternatives". The alternative group....of which I am one....is usually on a budget and cant' always afford the big hit that a dealership will charge. For things I can't do on my own, I use an indy whose hourly rate is about $40 under the dealership's rate, and am not adverse to going to Silverstar or Oklahoma Foreign Dismantlers to find a window motor or some other part....except for things like MAFs, plugs and hoses or belts, bulbs etc. You can save a lot of money by shopping around and finding an almost new part on some car that was totalled, but the particular part is unaffected. There is a "Porsche tax" associated with owning one of these fine cars, and they're not inexpensive to own and maintain....but you can find ways to reduce that tax.
