Default I went wet

Evening Gents
Just wanted to say hello and show some crappy mobile pics on my new (to me) 996 9ff. sold my 993 c2 and was looking for a 993 turbo but ended up wet, don’t dare to show my face in the 993 forum for a wile. The 996 has just been raised on the bendpack and the idea is to do an inspection/service and some mods during this winter. I will try to post some of the progress.
Best regards

I think you will be happier with the 996TT rather than the 993TT. Congrats and enjoy.

Im planning to take out motor and gearbox to check what components that are installed at 9ff. It should be the 580hp kit but you never know! and everything is to dirty for my taste but that can be sorted with 5 month of snow outdoors Lol ;-)

I guess you have heard the stories about this car? Apparently the service book has been "fabricated" recently. It however looks good and hopefully is not as bad as people say it is.

Hallå Johannes I know some of the history of this car and I personally know the person that imported it from Uk in my opinon there is no issue with a new service book. It´s fabricated for the Porsche dealer to stamp when you service it. I have had the car tested and it turns out to be solid there is some panel repair done in the front. Will see this winter when the cars in pieces if I can find something strange. Its still 25k$ less then the really beat up 993t that are up for sale in Sweden. If any one from the UK has more info on this car id love to here it.

There was nothing wrong with the 993 Turbo -- that the 996 Turbo didn't fix. Just kidding. Seriously though, the 996 has taken way more bad press than it deserves. Mine is bullet proof and one bad mutha on the track. And that is factory (except tires).
