Default Opinions on this 02 X50

http://sloancars.com/948/2002-996-tw...k-18776-miles/

I have spoken to Richard on this car, he says 1 of 3 built that year with sunroof delete ?
I'm not familiar with the exterior paint. I've have been told it has a bit of red in it ?

Any opinions are welcome.

Price seems a bit high, although it's actually reasonably priced for a Sloan car.
Assuming no issues PPI, I would say mid to no more than high 40's.

I would ask for a picture of the options sticker under the bonnet and the VIN.
Send it to Suncoast Porsche and they will print out an options list.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking a 18K X50 should be priced high 40's to low 50's if all things PPI and Condition are good. The Sunroof Delete add anything to the price?

IMHO, no not really. It would be desirable from a 'track/CG' perspective, but apart from that, it's sort of a nice thing to be able to talk about.

I would have a hard time buying this car with anything starting with a '5', mid to high 40's assuming no issues.

Sunroof delete should subtract from the price... cause you know you really like the car but the absence of a sunroof hurts cause you *really* like a sunroof...

Sincerely,

Macster.

Looks good, price is "in the ballpark" IMO, assuming you can negotiate a bit off. Sunroof delete shouldn't add value, but it is novel, and may help you sell it to someone that wants to take it to the track. Check the service history, etc.

No sunroof = one less rattle to address.

Sloane's cars are always priced pretty near the top of the margins...but he also only sells the pristine ones, usually with low mileage and goes through them pretty thoroughly. I almost bought one from him, but it was just a little steep for my checkbook at the time. The sunroof delete part is really just makes it a little different from the others...whether that's really worth some premium (to me) is questionable....to a trackie maybe desireable. All in all, it looks pretty nice for the price. I found Richard a bit unyielding on negotiating, but give it a try.

Meridian is a pretty color. Shank (founder of 6speedonline) had that color and I was seriously considering it. More highlights than just silver, but I wanted Seal or Slate.

A sunroof is one of the few ways to keep an eye out for CHP aircraft. You can have radar and laser, but there is no airplane detector yet!

Pray tell Adam...why would one want a sunroof to watch for an aircraft?? Surely you don't suggest that one might be exceeding the posted limit?? I guess you're good at multi-tasking??? one eye on the speedometer, one on the radar detector and monitor the sunroof at the same time....must be a chameleon.

Keep looking. I would stay away from this one. There are plenty of other cars out there with less miles for less money. This one has no resale value with the strange color and no sunroof.

I think that this would be a pretty fair price if it had a new CPO which it obviously doesn't. A little high but not far off the mark. I personally would not like the sunroof delete & doubt that very few would. I can't see it adding to the value of the car, quite the opposite IMO.

That car is extremely clean, you will not fnd a comparable car for that price. It is priced accordingly imo. I'd love to see one of these fabled x50 cars with no miles in the low 40s, I'll take two.
