Free FLIP HD Video Camera from Porsche
last week I received a non descript black box in the mail from Porsche. Thinking it was just the latest Catalog I set it on the counter to open later. Well I opened it "later" and sitting on top of a bunch of nice gift type, black stuffing paper was a letter explaining Porsche's latest marketing scheme which is about the every day usability of Porsches. In the letter it says that they would appreciate any home video that gives an example of a Porsche being used in an everyday type of task such as grocery shopping, taking the kids to school, going to the ski resort, etc. And then it said please find the enclosed FLIP video camera, which is yours to keep, to help in making your video.
Wow! So below the black stuffing paper was a small white box with a FLIP HD Mino video camera inside. And what's really cool is the camera is white with Porsche style racing stripes down the front and "PORSCHE"
How many car company's give away free HD FLIP video camera's?
Needless to say I was impressed with Porsche's gesture.
None of my buddy's with Ferrari's or Lambo's have ever received anything from their marquees except pompous attitudes.

I'd be glad to send them a video of my odometer in my 2003 996 Turbo when I pass by 300,000 miles in the next couple of weeks - I think it's gotten more than its use for daily activities........

I must be on Porsche $hit list. 3 Porsches and no camera or cool giveaways. Oh well.
