There are write ups on Renntech. Look for one by Mike Kelly. Doing the slave is a difficult job because it's above the tranny and hard to get to. It's all done by feel. It will help a lot if you have a lift and another set of hands.

Do dealers drop the engine/transmission to do this job?

You might also want to look into GT2 mod. Search here and 6speed for answers.

Had gt2 mod x 3 years. For feel/track/serious driving, it is a must have option. And, no more slave/accumulator issues. I was left with clutch on the floor due to this issue at a DE. Never again.

EVOMS sells a kit. About 6 hours for my guy, ymmv.

I was quoted $1600 from the dealer....

Took me three hours on my back (let say four hours with a good bleeding) and if you add the slave price which is $486.25 + accumulator: $146.25....A bit less than your quote....

Hello Jpflip.

Have you ever done this before or was it your first time?

Do you have any good notes for me ?

Can I try just to try to change the accumulator ?
How do I do with the presure issue?

Yes I did the job and made a DIY which is on Renntech. It was the first time but I am often play with tools...If you don't have fluid migration from steering reservoir to the clutch reservoir you should not replace the slave. To replace the accumulator it is better to get a 27mm wrench, file it a little bit and also angle it a little.... Note : in some case, that I've read, the old one was 22 mm... Strap wrench can also be used. http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutor...r-replacement/

To depressurized the accumulator before removal just press the clutch pedal several times (25 times as per repair manual) of course with the engine not running (repair manual page 676).... If you don't have the repair manual you can get a copy here: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...p-manuals.html

JpFLip.

I can not press down the clutch if the motor is turned of, its to hard.

I have fluid out side the reservoir in the front of the car under the hood.

Can I try to only change the accumulator you thinke?

Do I have to make some pressure after I change the accumulator? Or must I only fill up with fluid in the reservoir under the front hood?
