Default wierd spoiler issue??

Ok- got my tt in march and was under the assumption that the rear spoiler was disconnected. Now here we are 5 months and 8000 miles later and my spoiler has been going up and down just like it is supposed every day now for the last 5 days but triggering the spoiler failure light. It doesnt seem like it is crooked or not all the way up. I guess I am hoping that this means the repair isnt the $1900 one- very odd after 5 months of driving and now it goes up and down- any ideas???

Sounds like a short circuit that righted itself.

the switches are on the passenger side piston. i decided to quit screwing with the whole wing pump sensor thing and bought the manual kit on line on ebay... $150 unfortunately have not had time to install so i cannot comment on it. seems really simple.

The manual kit works very well, and it stops the madness of trying to find the microswitch or hydraulic problem. By the way, it also saves you about $1900.00
