Default 02' 996tt at Momentum Porsche?

Anyone know this car? Reported to be 4 owner car, has "minor" accident in carfax history, absolutely no service records available.

Have read several negative reviews on this dealership?

Advice? Whose best PPI shop in Houston?

Looking for a daily driver.

Has some strikes against it. Definitely get an independent PPI. But if the damage was cosmetic and it is mechanically sound it might be a bargain at the right price. You won't get resale out of it with that history though.

I used European Cars Ltd on Feagan off of Shepard for some suspension work and was impressed with the owner. He owns a GT3 cup car and seemed to know a lot about Porsches. Other's may have more solid recommendations for a PPI.

You might contact Rennsport out in Sealy. Yep, bit of a drive. They did a PPI for me on a 996tt ... that I ended up passing on. It's a small shop so you can observe each step of the inspection. By all means DO get a 3rd party PPI (not at the dealer) ... especially since it's a 4-owner car.

IF.... the lack of ownership maintenance records is not a concern, what is the price and mileage of the car? We can give you an idea of upcoming maintenance/possible missed maintenance that you might need to factor in the purchase price of this car.

Here is the link. Price is 40k and miles are 41k.

Momentum doesn't seem interested in selling the car judging from their lack of communication.

That is a bare bones Tip car 40K seems reasonable as long as it clean and all maintenance has been done along with a PPI pass!

Big football game yesterday. Plus are you just emailing them?

Do you have any idea how many idiots send them emails every day with a laundry list of questions and demands...AND beat them up on price in the same 'communication'????

I always establish a personal connection (phone call) which defines you as a 'real and qualified' buyer...THEN follow up with emails for trading information...

Front tow plug is missing in the pictures, and I thought the wheels were supposed to have the Turbo centercap. Does it have Porsche floor mats?
Plugs and coils are supposed to be done at 30k, that would be really nice to know if they were done at that time, around a $1k job + getting close to the 45k service. If the plugs were done/or they will do them and the 45k service, + passing a good PPI it seems like a good price.

Good observations. No records at all, except if you count the detail invoice and oil change they sent me. Must assume mats are around somewhere?

I agree with previous post too, that's why I called and spoke with salesman to let them know I am a
buyer.

Sounds like it wouldn't stand up to a good PPI. There's a good car out there for you. Just be patient.

That meant they are going to dump it at an auction. Expect to see it at used car dealer in a few weeks.

there are great cars to be had that leave a porsche dealer's inventory for second tier or "used" car dealers. especially in large metro areas. they are second tier for a reason, but it doesn't necessarily make them "bad".

Revised and higher sales price now. Not sure what is going on with that dealership.
