This is how tight it is with my wife’s SUV in there - we both need to fold the mirrors in. Tesla just released an option to save the location for the mirror fold so it does it automatically.

Well, I refused to trade in my Cayenne GTS when I bought the Tesla, so now I have 3 cars and she has one. Guess who is gonna win the battle for that 3rd spot. 😜 If I tell her that, I sense that she would tell me to “park it outside” indefinitely.

See the one in the middle? That's a bridge jack that lifts the car off the lift decks. The side stands come with the bridge jack, I just used them as "jack stands"

I use a stack of 5 or 6 cutoff 2x6's screwed together for stands when working on my brakes but they are under the ghetto fab lift bars I made. Most likely need 7 or 8 pieces of lumber and a hockey puck to get the right height to remove a wheel. I find jackstands are too tall for maintenance not requiring one to be under the car. I'm still not comfortable lifting one side up all the way on to jackstands and moving to the opposite side to raise the other half of the vehicle.

I've got tight clearance on my lift as well. The roof of the 996 gets about 3" from the ceiling when lifted high enough to get a "clunk" from the safety latches. Also, the door opener sits in the middle of the hood, but there's plenty of clearance for that.

Jealous of all these lifts. I did a clutch in my last vehicle on jack stands. Had to wear a bicycle helmet to keep my neck from straining.

How much ceiling height do you have, @Capt. Obvious and @leftlane ?

My ceiling is exactly 10 feet in that area. I should probably rearrange my lights to give me another 2" of clearance.

Looks like you've got a bit of room between the bottom car and the bottom of the lift deck though, eh?

Garage door opener hack. Next up, USB C PD compatible charger hooked into the phone plug so I can either use the Rennline wireless charger or plug the phone into the cable and fast charge the phone.

I do, a good 5-6 inches or so. Wish it was a bit more though because then I could park my e-tron in that spot.
