I found a new one for $2700 on ebay. Still a lot of coin but it really bothers me so I'll probably do it. The new one looks so nice I don't think I want to replace it with another old one.

Also remember for additional protection, put a clear laminate over those new head lights. I went with a light smoke tint to make those fried eggs more subtle.

I removed my drivers side plastic door sill. I can't believe how difficult that was to do. Now I'm trying to get the adhesive off. All I have found that works is goof off, but I ran out of the solvent half way. I'm hoping to clean it up tomorrow to install a new SS sill. I'll have to do the other side next week.

Should be able to get new one from dealer/equivalent for around $2400/2500..
Does anyone have an option for getting a new litronic headlamp assembly other than paying $3400 to a dealer? After the recent repair to my car the brand new driver side unit is so much nicer than the other one. I have tried a couple different shops for buffing the older one and it isn't acceptable.

Today I finally fixed (fingers crossed really tight) the rattle in my drivers door. Removed the door card, removed the speaker housing surround, removed the bottom front corner of the membrane and the screw holding the top of the base box was super loose. Thread locked it back in place. Hoping that is job done!

Had a report from the last service that there was a wiring problem with the headlight.
Last night found when i put the headlights on that neither the front park light (running light for you US boys?) nor the rear lights worked on the lhs.
Checked bulbs, nope. Removed headlight, looked ok. Removed plug to inspect the bulbs and discovered the insulation has deteriorated and left exposed wiring (obviously causing a short).
Plan to deconstruct lighy assy, reinsulate wires and see how that goes.
Will report further....

Not a great result.
2 particular wires within the sealed headlight unit are almost totally bare (most of the insulation has come off).
Got some electrical tape and attempted to reinsulate the wires but it is difficult as access into the module is limited.
Did my best but no joy. Am thinking either to get an auto electrican to rewire the entire assembly or it will be a whole new light module.
Thoughts?
