Thanks! Not sure on the layers but they are Porsche certified so hopefully they matched the factory settings. This will be my track toy so I'm guessing the perfect paint won't last long

Precision did the body and paint but they sent it over to Sunset Porsche for the complicated stuff (dash removal, etc..). They did a great job but I'm sure it would of been a better experience if insurance wasn't involved.
I do my own work for modifications and maintenance but also use Rothsport Racing for track alignments. Speaking of which, might as well include all of the little stuff that I switched out prior to the track day.
996 GT2 Spec 18" OZs w/ 245/40/18 and 315/30/18 Toyo R888s
996 GT3 Front Calipers
997TT Brembo 2pc Front Rotors
997TT Rear Rotors
Carbotech XP8 Pads
Castrol SPF Fluid
997 GT3 Master Cylinder
997 GT3 Front Ducts
Pwdrhound Custom GT3 Brake Line
PSM Disabled (unplugged at the pump)
Pad Sensors Disabled (re-wired)
RSS Engine Mounts and Rear Toelinks
RSS engine mounts
RSS rear toelinks
Modified brake pad sensors to remove the stupid light
- cut, splice, twist, solder, re-cover and re-install

Looks really good and I bet you're happy to finally get it on the track. What items/fab work had to be done in the body shop, a while ago now but just curious.
Thanks! Mark/Pelican Parts

Looks great. I'm glad the custom brake line worked out for you. If you track on a regular basis, you might want to consider the GT3 Cup brake ducts instead of the street ducts. You'll get much better cooling. Your brakes will thank you. I'd also install the rear cooling ducts.

Ha, bad year for the turbo, check out this recent disaster below. The good news is that I have more GT3 goodies on the car now and a new rear main seal
Porsche LWFW and 996GT3 clutch disc
Sachs motorsports pressure plate 883 308 2999 764:
Part numbers for LWFW conversion, clutch parts, etc..:
Thanks! the entire left side of the car received factory new parts but the door hinges needed some metal work.
Thanks for your help! Yes, the cup ducts are on my list and I also have some SS lines sitting around too..

Scawt, can you post the prices for the clutch kit. All the extra hardware was worth it. This will give people an idea as to what the dealership charges for parts and install.

Please remember that Sachs recommends a 400 mile break in with the clutch.. Normal street driving>no hard launches.. Driving thru city traffic will give you the best results..
How do you like the clutch and the engagement?

The custom brake line allows you to use the 997GT3 brake master cylinder on the 996tt. The 996 MC has a larger 27mm piston vs the 25.4mm on the 996 MC. This will allow you to move more fluid = harder brake pedal. This is pretty much a must if you also upgrade to the much larger 997 rear calipers.

Love the LWFW and the responsiveness... I had some weird issues with the clutch pedal only coming up halfway for 24 hours but it magically disappeared and its been 4 days of no issues
On a side note, I finally installed the GMG WC bar in my garage but having a hell of a time putting the bolts in..
