Default More front brake cooling using Cup parts...

Here is the results of them on a 996 T with GT2 fender liners. I believe they will fit better with the 996 T stock fender liners, but I have gone for 1.5 hour twisty drive for a shake down session, and still good no rubbing with wheel. I will continue to do further testing to make sure they stay on. My friend also got them on his 997 c2s, they seem to fit better on that !

The bottom part is lose, but it holds well onto the bracket on the brake line. Top hole i zipped ties it so it wont flap around.

Fits near perfect on a 997 C2S

is the top mount stuck behind the gt2 liner or cut off? if it isnt maybe slot the gt2 liner and pop rivet it in place. for the bottom a metal strap pop riveted to the liner and brake duct would secure it down there

Good point. I zipp tied it to he water hose for now. I left the zip tie slightly lose to give it wiggle room. For 14 dollars each lets see how it works. The gt2 has these but in slightly different shape and over 150 usd so forget that! Improvesid!

Enrique, the 997GT3 spoilers pictured above are completely useless if used with the stock 996TT fender liners because those liners divert the radiator fan air up and out in front of the front wheel. You must use the 996GT2 fencer liners to get any benefit out of these. Additionally, in the pictures above I see that you are using the regular GT3 brake ducts. The 2 piece GT2/3 Cup car brake ducts are larger and deeper and will direct more air directly to the center of the brake rotors and will provide more benefit than the 997GT3 spoiler. For around 15 bucks these are a cheap addition to the brake cooling package though. I have been running the 380mm 997.2 GT3 brakes on my car at the track this year and have found them to be vastly superior to the old 350mm GT3 six pots in dissipating heat. Absolutely no comparison. I was able to shave 2 seconds on my local 2.6 mile track with just the brake swap. If you are a track junkie with a high horsepower turbo I would highly recommend going that route.

Thanks Buddy.. what does it take to go 380mm front rotors ?

I only track 2-3 times a year these days....plus i cruise and dont need the brakes that much

The second linear is for a 997 C2s...the 997 has some fins redirecting the air directly to the air guide for the cup part... for 15 bucks, we decide it to give it a try...I will report back.

If you want to use 380mm front rotors you must use the 997.2 (225mm bolt space) PCCB calipers that come on the 997GT3 and 997TT PCCB cars. Obviously you will need to use the larger 997 rear calipers otherwise you would have horrible bias issues. I purchased a complete front and rear PCCB brake set (minus the ceramic rotors) that came off a virtually new 2011 GT3 RS. I also added a 997GT3 brake master cylinder because the brakes felt a bit soft with the stock 996tt master. The 997GT3 master moves about 20% more fluid and makes the pedal rock hard and very easy to modulate. Everything is a direct bolt on and you can use either the 997TT Ceramic rotors, Girodisc rotors, or front Brembo rotors with stock 997GT3/TT steel rotors. The 380 cup rotors may also work but not 100% sure. I run the floating 380/350 Giros. Braking capacity and feel is much better with this set up than the 350/350 996GT3 6pot set up I ran before. Brake bias is also much improved because the front 997.2 GT3 PCCB calipers have about 20% less piston area than the 996GT3 units and the rear 997.2 GT3 calipers have about 40% greater piston area than the 996 units. This substantially moves your brake bias to the rear and aids in braking. I have shaved almost 2 seconds at my local 2.6 mile track with this set up by being able to brake later and harder than previously with the 996 six pots. I run PFC 08f/08r pads and Endless fluid. Interestingly the 380mm Giro rotors are a couple of ounces lighter then the 350mm Giros (and about 3 lbs lighter than the OE 330 steels) due to the fact that they are a narrow annulus design. It's really a great set up. The only catch is the fact that you must be very careful with the selection of 18" wheels. OEM or OZ 18s will not clear. CCW, some BBS and a few other will. For track wheels I run CCW C10 in a 18x9 and 18x12 and they clear with about 1/4" to spare.
