I am trying to find a car in the Vancouver area so I can start doing some preliminary design and prototype work. If someone lets me use the car for design and test fit the first finished splitter is yours FREE.

As stated before, I'm in as long as it fits a GT2 style front.

I am updating the list as of 10/14/13

1.) Heavychevy (1?)
2.) Mikeeyee (1)
3.) Joe731 (1)
4.) JBossolo (will it fit GT2 style bumper?)
5.) Cincysota (wants to see design)
6.) SD996TT
7.) SD996TT (second)
8.) Bill996

We are a few short of the magic # of 10. I read elsewhere that F1Crazydriver sold his 996TT, which may be why we haven't heard much from him here, so I removed him from the list.

I also traded emails with Joe Toth and he is still interested. He says the two piece approach is actually harder for him to make, but he is leaning that way as it is much more adjustable for ride height and it can be set low for the track and removed to get the car on the trailer. Since my intended use is for track duty, this is appealing to me, but he needs to know whether members of this group prefer a one piece or two piece solution.

Please chime in on this if you are on the above list. Thanks

Correction on F1Crazydriver. His car was hit by a careless driver

Either would be fine with me, but would prefer two-piece.

Was the price ever determined (or publicly mentioned) for each different style. And is there an official cutoff date on purchasing for the group. It'd be great to see an actual unit on the car for the final count of group buy members.

The only price mentioned was it would be under $500. I am selling the two piece GT3 piece for $450 and the one piece for $175 so somewhere in that range. Can't really show a finished product as I will not invest all the time and cost into the project to only sell a couple of parts. Need commitments so I can break even on the tooling cost. I do this as a hobby after e regular job so it's not a business investment for me to produce new and different parts.

Default Dam and splitter

Hi Joe. Interested (love your other pieces) but not sure how deep the dam would go. Prefer the 2 piece (presuming the 2 piece includes both an air dam that looks good on its own for the road and an additional removable splitter for use on track?) The air dam part might need to leave 120mm road clearance on a ROW suspension height Turbo though or I'll be stuck behind the first speed bump I meet. Here's how my stock lip looks from daily driving the car, worn down (well, up) to 115mm clearance at the center and about 130mm at the leading edge of the side 'splitterettes', which have also been ground back over time:

Attachment 782943

Am presuming the air dam would not be readily removeable so maybe not for me but your others sure look good. Interested in your canards/flics too. Do they fit the Turbo?

Any feedback on this? After a close encounter with a cone at Barber last weekend, I'm in urgent need of a front lip/splitter. If necessary (to reach minimum number) I'd buy two.

I'm still in. I suspect that after a few are sold, this will become a popular item with those who track their cars. There just isn't any other reasonably priced option for some downforce in front.

Hi Guys,
Good news and bad news. The good news is I found a 996TT bumper to use for the design work. The bad news is I have to get busy and do the work. My initial thoughts are the bumper looks viable for a two piece splitter. I am going to take a couple of pictures of the bumper I have later and try to post the here to make sure I have the correct part. I will then need some help from you. As all I have is the bumper it is very flexible. I will need measurements so I can build a fixture to secure the bumper in a dimensionally correct position for the prototype work. I will let you know when I post the pics what measurements I require. Also I would like measurements from multiple cars to ensure the measurements are all within a close tolerance so that my piece will fit correctly on all the vehicles.
Will post again soon.
