Unbelievable. Very sorry.

Should be Comprehensive claim, right, not Collision? You didn't hit anything. That's basically vandalism.

Good luck with the repair. Things happen but anyone that just runs after hitting someones car is garbage.

Sorry to see what happened. That really stinks. Hopefully the repairs will come out well and your Porsche will look as good as new when done.

He didn't do anything wrong, but the Carfax will learn of it due to the insurance claim. It will definitely hurt the value somewhat.

I have been "hit & run" twice in my life. Once a guy T-boned me while driving and then ran. Turned out the car was stolen, they never caught him and the police actually did not really care since no one was hurt.

Sorry to hear. As long as the repairs move in the right direction, with qualified techs, your Turbo will be on the road soon. IF you are even mildly OCD on the repairs, make sure the person in charge of the repair knows your concerns and the condition the car was in prior to the damage. Also, take into account that even though the Cab mechanicals weren't involved, double and triple check the operation of the system to make sure nothing was affected. same goes for the Turbo spoiler, and all other systems for that matter.

looking at it again, most of the damage is from the spoiler line down, so hopefully, nothing else is affected.

Good luck on the road ahead.

This is nasty all the way around and I'm certain very board member sympathizes with you.
Guess thats what I get for parking at the end of the lot! Everyone here has been great. I am still dumbfounded. Very bad random luck.

Thanks. Yeah I am a bit OCD...First place it is going is porsche dealer to get engine and mechanics fixed and everything checked for hidden damage. They had to have pushed the car 3-4 feet as you can see in the pic. I checked all the jams on it around the top and the door seems. I don't think there is any frame damage at all, but will check everything 2-3x.

I will bring that up with them. I thought comprehensive was flying or moving objects (stones hit windshield, branches, deer, etc.). It would save me $250 on my deductible.

I am more worried about arguments around diminished value or crap that its a 9 year old car and I should use used parts. Thats not going to fly given the mileage.

Sadly same here. My old audi S8 suffered a similar fate on the front bumper at a parking lot where I catch the bus to NYC.

MisplacedYankee - if it comes down to that maybe a 3rd party collision consultant would help.

What a horribly disgusting and cowardly act. I'm sorry you were a victim of sub-human behavior.
