**** in this case a freaking meteor could have dropped out of the sky with just as much luck. At least I could have sold the meteorite for a profit I have given up trying to explain these things. I will still park away from others hoping murphy's law has already struck.

I feel your pain. Something similar happened to me a few months ago. Although I was never able to get my $2000 deductible back, let alone any DV $, car is nicely repaired and I am enjoying it's use with no compromises to the driving dynamics.

Here is a link to the thread describing my incident: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...lue-claim.html

I will continue to park away from other cars as well as I cant stand the door dings people seem to love giving. I've had people put their door into me while I was sitting in the car and act like what's the big deal = a-holes.

For what its worth, if you can tell the colour of the truck that hit you by the paint it left on your car ? if so,checking with local body shops may lead you to that truck ?

One time I parked my Pcar at the end of the lot taking up two spots and no one even close. Many empty spaces. So when I get out of the store I have a beat up pickup parked directly behind me as though his attempt was to block me in. Much to his surprise was I able to get out with some major maneauvering, just so happened a cop was in the parking lot, told him there was a truck illegally parked in the middle of the parking lot, making it hard for others to move around the lot he gave the guy a parking ticket! So it does catch up with these jerks eventually!

911's have a tendency to evoke odd jealous behavior from a specific subset of low IQ individuals. I've experienced it 1st hand several times in the year and a half since I purchased my turbo. I owned two 928's over 12 years and never experienced this type of behavior from other motorists.

Yup. Just noticed a couple days ago that my TT has been keyed over the left rear wheel well.

Great looking car and a painful experience to see the damage caused by the other driver's carelessness.

It's a bad situation, but you certainly have the right attitude about it. Insist that it gets fixed correctly and move forward; that's about all anyone can do with this kind of thing.

It's probably still a good idea to park some distance away from others IMHO. Best of luck with a good repair.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have recently re-learned why I don't park my 911 in the city overnight. ****ing cowards messing with other people's ****...my favorite.

Sorry to hear of the mishap. My heart goes out to you. It will get repaired. Make sure you get DV from the insurance company. Hang in there. Surprised no one heard anything with that kind of hit to get a license number.

That is astonishing. Outside of I think georgia (where they use some lowball percentage) I've always heard insurers fighting this- especially when the liable party hasnt been IDd.

Sorry to hear, good luck
