Unbelievable tonight - Warning - graphic content
My 2004 "S" is mint with 13K miles on it. I rarely take it outside my country club. Gorgeous day here in NJ today and we take it for an early dinner. Park it far away from anything at end of lot and sure enough bad hit and run. Some truck trying to turn around is all I know. Sucks. Cars are cars. Nobody hurt as it was just sitting there. I am sure it repairable, but this was one of the few fully unmolested low mileage turbos that never saw snow or otherwise getting whacked. Sad to see. Guess I will die in this car now as I will never see the full value due to this douche bag. It will get fixed by the best of the best, but still. Since its a no fault not sure I can get the DV claim from my insurance company, but I will try.

That is really sad to hear and its a shame a camera didn't grab some info to help identify driver. I have read some of your previous posts and seen your car photos, its obvious you had pride in your car. I always park away from the crowd myself but it never fails when I come back some idiot is right next to me. Hope it all works out.

This really sucks, I'm sorry for you.
The i/c was torn apart as was the bumper, but neither the frame nor mechanicals seem damaged at all. It sucks for the value, but at least this car will drive perfectly once it's repaired.

Yeah. That's an easy fix. Exhaust looked untouched from my inspection. Certainly repairable. Just a mess. I will make sure it's done right at all costs. First going to dealer than body shop.

Sorry for you! I'd avoid having any paint work on the steel body if possible. Often the shop may want to paint and blend. This is always a greater area than first stated due to having to do an entire panel, then the next panel. Pretty soon it's half the car and it becomes apparent that half the car was painted due to a scuff or damage in an extremely small area that could have been spotted or just recleared.
Even the best body shops seem to care more about getting a big job and doing a lot of work vs. doing the minimum for a good restoration with as little area painted as possible. A new OE bumper cover with new paint, tail light, intercooler, fender liner parts should not diminish your value much, if at all. I'd not want the body proper to be sanded and stripped and repainted unless it was absolutely necessary. It will never be as good as a factory job.
I was promised a great job by the Porsche, MB, and Ferrari go to shop, and in fact I even knew the owner. On my previous 996 a small job turned into a big deal. The disassembly was done by south of the boarder immigrants that didn't speak the language and didn't understand how to remove components without breaking plastic rivets, clips, and fasteners. Upon reassembly many fasteners were omitted, incorrect screws used. Months later, sanding swirls from the DA sander could be seen in the right light and the flex agent must have been omitted in the paint used on the bumper cover. The new paint chipped like crazy.
Good Luck!

Real sorry, that sucks big time.
Very painful to view the damage, cant imagine what you're going through.
Hope you have a good outcome with repairs.
Really hope someone reports these a**holes and they get what they deserve.

Like so many others I park my turbo so far away from another car my wife has a fit with me all the time.
This is nasty all the way around and I'm certain very board member sympathizes with you.
