Update: Change accumulator today. Pretty easy other than the one on the car was 22mm and the replacement (from a Dealer) was 27mm. So I got to make two custom wrenches with my grinder. Clutch effort is massively reduced. So far (one extensive test drive) the engagement point seems consistent. Only had to add a small amount of make-up Pentosin CFH-11 fluid.

that's so weird that vendors *can't* ship the accumulator! but i know pelican couldn't. airbag steering wheels get shipped and they have charges and one could certainly understand some shipping restriction(s) but why the accumulator.wonder what the deal is there...
first time i ever changed mine, the slave went not long afterwards. what a pita, they are. though the accumulator can be changed in your driveway lol. not so, the slave!

Former Vendor
I do find it strange that some vendors can't ship the accumulator. I shipped out 3 this week with people using the RENNLIST 10% off code. Thank you!
I also have the slave cylinder, click here

I have one of those, but it did not budge the accumulator when I tried to remove it. Additionally, there have been a few posts were the accumulator was not tightened enough using the strap wrench and it leaked after a while. Seems better safe than sorry to get it properly tightened.
