Default Picked up a 996TT today

It has been a long day so I'm going to leave this short for now. Picked up a 996TT today with some history behind it. Has a full 997 conversion, motor freshened up by Jake Raby, and some new snails. Coming from a built Sti, 135i, C63, and RS4 this thing takes the cake. My eyeballs hurt...

I'll just leave this here for now...

Old shot from 2013.

And home sweet home.

More to come!

Looks great, What color is it? Cannot tell from the pic. I am doing the 997 front end conversion now, do you have a picture of the front?

Wow... a lot of work in that thing. Even the rear fenders/quarters are 997, where it meets up with the 997 rear bumper. Some cutting and welding involved there. Looks nice!

Indeed there is. Car looks quite fresh too for 84k miles on the chassis.

Cool car.
I'm still waiting to hear from Jake but to be fair I just PM'd Flat 6 innovations on here one day about the car. I'll have to give them a call.

Yea the mirrors are the only thing. I'd like to address some other things on the car first but I can see that happening.

New to the Porsche world, still learning. Would have to find some mirrors. I've also seen some LED tail lights around that I think look much better.

That is a really nice car. It would definitely turn my head on the highway.

Thanks guys.

It really is funny because the C63 I traded for this was more expensive and a bit louder out the back. However, I've had more people stop and stare or take pictures in traffic / thumbs in the past 2 days than the entire time I owned the C63. Really does turn heads.

As for the drive, it is amazing. Such a new world particularly in the corners. Some 315's in the back help as well

Car looks fantastic. I guess I don't understand why someone would go through the effort/cost to do this instead of just buying a 997, but good for you that it was already done.
